DR. GREGORY STAINER: At Southwest Eye Care we offer sports contact lenses made by Bausch & Lomb for Nike. Sports contact lenses come in amber and also come in grey-green. We would prescribe the amber lenses for soccer and for basketball and the grey-green lenses for golf. These lenses filter out some of the unwanted wavelengths of light, and therefore, increase contrast and reduce glare and increase performance subsequently.
