Laser Facial Rejuvenation

Laser facial rejuvenation uses an intense pulsed light (IPL) laser to treat rosacea.

DR. GREGORY STAINER: We began with Laser Facial Rejuvenation using the Intense Pulse Light laser, specifically the Syneron model, and our goal initially was to improve rosacea. Rosacea is a condition that affects the cornea and affects the conjunctiva and leads to a very dry and irritated eye. We found that a lot of treatment didn’t work for rosacea patients. What the IPL treatment does is it coagulates the vascular lesions and removes pigmentation in the cheek and also removes hair around the facial area. It’s really the coagulation of the vascularized lesions in the cheek area that really helps the patients with their rosacea appearance and also with their rosacea ocular condition.
