DR. GREGORY STAINER: Intraocular lenses have come a long way over the last several years. They’ve changed the curvatures to allow better nighttime vision and now they come with astigmatism correction, so we are able to provide those patients with excellent vision without correction following their cataract operation. All the intraocular lenses that we use are foldable and acrylic. We place these intraocular lenses through a very tiny incision, 2.2 millimeters, and we use the negative aspheric lenses, which restore the optical system of the eye down to zero again as it was when you were 19 years old, and then this way, you’ll have the best distance and nighttime driving vision.
